What do we feel God saying about 2019.

(Jonny Anderson - Gather:Events Co-ordinator)

Gather:Festival North is 3 days of worship, prayer, teaching, meeting with God, hearing great testimony of what God is doing, great hot drinks, fun, rest, family, unity, meeting like-minded people.

We are inviting you to come join us and others around God's Throne again! HE is the main event; worshipping Him. We're scrapping the outdoor stage in favour of gathering our corporate prayer and sung/musical worship in the centre of the Gather:Hub tent/arena this year.  Allowing Jesus kindness to draw us to repentance again, turning our eyes and affection towards Him, until we receive all He has for us, whether that's 5 or 5,000 of us.  Did you know in the greek Repentance is a change of ways of seeing things?  So in God's presence Jesus leads us to change the way we see things, amazing!

God is speaking, He is strengthening, He is empowering His people all over the Earth for the task at hand in what's becoming very uncertain times where standing up for what we believe is becoming more difficult.

But we also believe that we're on the edge of a huge pouring out from our Father in Heaven on those who can carry what He has to give.  This is why we must be more determined than ever to throw off all that hinders and submit our lives to Him. 2 Corinthians 12:9-11, in our weakness, He is strong!

- 2 Corinthians 4:7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.[b] This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Pursuing God is an adventure and a whole lot of fun too and the rest of the facilities will be similar to 2017/18.  We will have kids and youth work/drop-in, a prayer and prophetic tent, cafe, food vendors, bonfire and through the night worship.  Some of our partners include: The World Prayer Centre, Beacon House of Prayer Stoke, North East Youth for Christ, Transform North East.

We expect the Sunday will have more of a churches together feel although this is TBC.

This year if we all leave equipped and resolved to carry God back to the places we live and work we could truly see revival fires spread as we scatter across Northumbria and beyond.  It's already begun, shall we...?

Acts 3:

19 But you must be sorry for your sins and turn from them.

You must turn to God and have your sins taken away.

Then many times your soul will receive new strength from the Lord.

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Isaiah 55

6 Look for the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the sinful turn from his way, and the one who does not know God turn from his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have loving-pity on him. Let him turn to our God, for He will for sure forgive all his sins.

Psalm 22:3

Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.

Psalm 133

1 How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
    running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
